The Reg. is from like a PX or Stella maybe 96w AC/DC so it will charge the battery. The engine is a 3 port 150 BAJA 12V electronic so if you had an original VNB125 I believe you would need to change out your stator and points (to go from 6v to 12v) or you would not be able to charge the battery except from a wall outlet and battery charger. via PlasmaX23 http://www.flickr.com/photos/80289765@N07/8274532507/ tagvespaworld
